Simangele Mngomezulu
Director & Deputy Lead Executive: 1st Tier Skills Upliftment and Social Responsibility
Simangele’s career started at Anglo American Corporation of South Africa as a Librarian. She later became the founder member, Secretary General and eventually the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Women in Mining (SAWIMA). She became a Director of South African Women in Mining Investments Holding (SAWIMIH) and was key in the facilitation of women’s equity participation at Exxaro and other companies.
Simangele was nominated as one of the 2015 Hundred 100 Inspiring Women by Women in Mining, United Kingdom (WIMUK) and Patron of Women in Mining South Africa (WIMSA)
Simangele is currently an Executive Director and Shareholder of White Rivers Exploration; and Chairman of DTE Projects, that supply engineering, design, and project management services to the mining and related industries.
Simangele holds a Diploma in Public Relations from Damelin College, Diploma in Community Development from Histatrut Institute, Israel. She has completed several Leadership Development and Business Management and Governance courses from
GIBBS.
